Can't Fight Biology

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not religious at all. I swear my skin would burn if I ever entered a holy place such as a church or Dibley (even though I adore that show and indeed Dawn French). However there is something about the stories told in the Bible that is actually quite interesting and legendary. This fell hand-in-hand with the fact that one of Brigitte Bardot's most high-profile movies (I do realise this film has nothing to do with the Bible story but bare with me) is "And God Created Woman". Fitting really, isn't it? I can't really think of anyone of the era who would fit the "Eve" image than her.... Nowadays it would be Angelina without a doubt and I dare you to defy me on that. So this image is (trying) to take the elements of Bardot's sex-kitten sensuality and the Garden of Eden..... Well just greenery/foliage really....

Forever Young

I'm working on a new series now inspired by Hollywood icons of the 40's and 50's. If I was saying what Im really thinking, I'm imagining all of these legends, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Ava Gardner and the like, all running around West Beverly High School instead of the recent cast of 90210. I think it would be interesting to see which starlet would go from major drug whore to teen mum to pop star whose one-time superstar boyfriend dies in a car crash and then proceeds to take his unrecorded material for her own, like Adrianna's story arc has been of late....indeed can i just take a moment to appreciate Adrianna. Mainly just how gorgeous Jessica Lowndes actually is and also how much i simply like the name Adrianna. Anyways I digress. This series of images is of about 14 icons (I'm grouping Fred and Ginger into one image), but I'm using my raw materials that have no actual first hand connection to these icons (i.e. i'm not starting with images of the person...) I want to achieve each icon's style through each image rather than just presenting a picture of them..... Here is the beginning stages of one Greta Garbo.

Here Comes The Flood

As a treat to you, I will give you all 11 images from my Chalk & Cheese series. Some of them I love and some of them I love less but you will love them or I will have to take you outside and slap the wax out your ears until you feel the love for them.

Colour And Light

Unlike Rihanna's video for S&M, I know the boundaries of literally copying David LaChapelle's work, and using it for inspiration. I used one of his shots of Cameron Diaz as in idea for a photography project. I kinda wish I had put more of my own stamp into this, but hells look at the bubbles dude. They are totally awesome. Don't worry, you can admit it too.
